During your first visit, one of our specialists will carefully listen to your pain history. We’ll review any prior tests or imaging and perform an examination to better understand your condition. From there, we’ll develop a personalized treatment plan. Injections typically aren’t performed on the first visit, but may be recommended for future care.

While many conditions improve without injections, if your pain is significant and an injection is necessary, we can usually schedule it within a week. If you have other health conditions or take certain medications, we may need to wait a bit longer.

Not all injections use cortisone. Some treatments, like Trigger Point and Sacroiliac injections, use non-steroid medications like Traumeel™ along with local anesthetics. If a cortisone injection is necessary, Dr. KellerShabrokh will explain the dosage and its benefits in detail.

Most patients find the injection process relatively comfortable. There may be some minor discomfort, but we do everything we can to ensure you feel at ease. If you have concerns, feel free to ask us during your visit.
